Private and Small Group Yoga Instruction
Private and small group Yoga Instruction is provided by Shannon McKenna, RYT.
I am a classically trained violinist, yoga instructor, and aspiring artist. I received my RYT 200 at Peachtree Yoga Center under the direction of Graham Fowler. I have completed a Yin Yoga Immersion training under Tymi Howard Bender in addition to other continuing education workshops.
Performing and teaching violin has been my way of sharing a deeper connection with others and the universe on an intimate level since the age of 5. I believe that yoga is synonymous to music. The flow and grace of yoga transport us to a deeper level spiritually, physically, and mentally just as music can. I enjoy incorporating live music in my meditation and yoga sessions. I aim to share my love of yoga through teaching and guiding students to a healthier mind, body, and soul. By connecting to our breath (pranayama), becoming body aware through movement (asana), as well as stillness (meditation) we can encourage the mind to settle, to find comfort and ease on the mat and ultimately in our daily lives. I believe in the benefits of yoga in many facets of our lives, regardless of age, gender, or level of the practitioner. It is widely recognized that there are therapeutic benefits of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and mindset.
I offer private and small group yoga instruction, meditation, and yoga workshops for all levels, genders, and ages. I have held workshops for teens as well, introducing them to yoga, meditation, and mantra. I believe that the younger generation is just as crucial to reach out to and introduce them to the benefits of yoga and meditation to assist them in obtaining the ability to handle stress, anxiety, and societal pressures.
I take personal interest in each of my students and safely encourage them to find their personal practice and edge. I offer gentle hands on assistance and clear verbal clues. I also provide modifications for students and encourage the use of props to aid in safe transitions and for balance. I practice and teach today with an open heart. I want to positively encourage others to honor their bodies, cultivate their inner strength and light, while living their truth.
Through mindfulness we can each find growth, live authentically, and be a beacon of hope for others.
Fees for Private (1 on 1) Sessions:
60 minute private (1 on 1) session $80.
5 class Private Card - 1 hour (1 on 1) sessions for $380.
1 hour 15 minutes (1 on 1) session $100.
1 hour 30 minutes(1 on 1) session $125.
Fees for Small Group Sessions:
1 hour (2-3 people) $100. / $10 additional for every student above 3.
Groups of 5+ Flat rate of $175. for one hour.
1 hour 15 minutes (2-3 people) $125. / $10 additional for every student above 3.
Groups of 5+ flat rate of $200.
1 hour 30 minutes (2-3 people) $150./ $10 additional for every student above 3.
Groups of 5+ Flat Rate of $225.
